Kieu Phan

Executive Head Chef

Born in Cam Ranh, Kieu Phan transitioned from a career in law to become a trailblazer in Vietnamese cuisine. As the founder of The Taste of Vietnam Group, her acclaimed restaurants in Hoi An and Da Nang, including the award winning Madame Kieu, are celebrated for showcasing the depth and diversity of Vietnamese flavours.

Driven by a vision to elevate Vietnamese cuisine beyond the familiar pho and banh mi, Kieu is passionate about sharing the vibrant dining culture of Hoi An with Melbourne. Hoiana reflects this vision, with a menu that reimagines traditional dishes while honoring their roots.

Beyond the kitchen, Kieu is deeply committed to philanthropy. For over 15 years, she has personally funded scholarships and community projects in Vietnam, helping underprivileged children access education and brighter futures. Her mission is not just to serve extraordinary food but to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
